Process
Step 1: Analysis: Pick 1 of the 3 artworks below. The class will divide into 3 groups (one group to each artwork) to collaboratively analyze each piece. Come up with words or phrases to describe the artwork, for example, the media chosen, the message it is sending, the thought process behind the artwork, and overall mood of the artwork.
Step 2: Wordle: After you have brainstormed words to describe the artwork that you have chosen, click on the link to create a wordle in your groups. Please have a minimum of 15 different words in your Wordle to describe your artwork.
After you have completed your Wordle, print it out for class. Have one member post link to your Wordle with each group member's name on the posting to the blog page of this Webquest.
Step 3: Delegate: Delegate positions in your group to each member. At least one person must be a writer, one person a researcher, one person a graphic designer, and one person a presenter.
Step 4: Gather Content and Material: After you have delegated positions to each group member, you will create a virtual museum of the same artwork. Have you ever gone to a museum and read the information that goes along with what you are looking at? Now this is your chance to create that information to display to others about the artwork that your group has chosen to research. The school has asked you to curate a museum exhibition on the Feminist Art Movement. You all get to be researchers and museum curators for the day! You must explain the following in your virtual museum display:
Step 5: Post Draft: The exhibit criteria points listed about must all be answered and written in a cohesive paragraph. When you think your group has written an acceptable draft paragraph, please post it to the blog page for my evaluation (and the evaluation of your peers).
Step 6: Create Virtual Museum: After I have approved your paragraph, you may start creating your webpage for the virtual museum under our class Wiki. Please label your page as the artist and artwork that your page is about (example: Judy Chicago, The Dinner Party) For more specific information about this project, please go to the Evaluation page.
